NO SCHOOL MONDAY JANUARY 20 - MLK Day
We are an AVID classroom! We are studying colleges and careers to set goals for a successful future. AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
Our school is lucky to have a talented staff of state-certified professionals. Our teachers are creative, enthusiastic, and excited about learning. The school employs 22 classroom teachers and 4 special education teachers.
Our goal is to create a warm, open environment where students feel safe enough to ask questions, explore and seek answers. We challenge every student to surpass his or her own personal best. Mariposa is particularly proud of its diversity and takes every opportunity to celebrate those characteristics that make us different. We welcome all who come through our door.
In my class, I approach each child as an individual with their own talents and one-of-a-kind needs. My goal is to help your student meet the learning benchmarks for third grade, using the following:
Wonder. Learn. Grow.
