Responsibility for ourselves

Every day your child will begin with the Monarch pledge and A Pledge to Myself: To take responsibility for ourselves, respect others and do our personal best.

We also focus on PBIS - building positive behaviors both individually and as a class.  Ask your child about the Monarch RULES!

OUR TEACHERS

Our school is lucky to have a talented staff of state-certified professionals.  Our teachers are creative, enthusiastic, and excited about learning. The school employs 22 classroom teachers and 4 special education teachers.

Our goal is to create a warm, open environment where students feel safe enough to ask questions, explore and seek answers. We challenge every student to surpass his or her own personal best.  Mariposa is particularly proud of its diversity and takes every opportunity to celebrate those characteristics that make us different. We welcome all who come through our door.

WELCOME

In my class, I approach each child as an individual with their own talents and one-of-a-kind needs. My goal is to help your student meet the learning benchmarks for third grade, using the following:

  • Classroom instruction
  • Small-group projects
  • One-on-one tutoring
  • After-school enrichments

Coming up:

Welcome to my new 3rd graders and their families!  I have connected everyone on Google Classroom, and am trying to get all my families in my Class Dojo.  If you have a text or email from me about Dojo, please join to get the latest information!  It will be our #1 mode of communication this year.   I will be sending out the code to join our live classes soon.  Let's work together, stay positive, and make this an unforgettable experience!
